Description

Catena High Mountain Vines Cabernet Sauvignon is a structured, fresh Cabernet from high-altitude vineyards in the foothills of the Andes.

The Catena family has made wine in Mendoza for more than a century and is best known for proving that altitude brings freshness and depth to Argentine reds. This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a blend of the family's estate vineyards at different elevations, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adding perfume and structure. The winery describes 2023 as a year of elegant wines with high natural acidity, lower alcohol, and pronounced minerality and texture.

It is a natural partner for a Sunday roast, lamb chops or a hearty beef and red wine pie. Serve at 16 to 18 degrees.
