Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Bones Chardonnay 2023

Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Bones Chardonnay is a mineral, finely structured Chardonnay from one of Argentina's highest vineyards.

White Bones takes its name from the soil beneath its rows in Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard, which is layered with limestone, calcareous deposits and fossilised animal bones left by a river that once ran through Gualtallary. At almost 1,500 metres in the Uco Valley, the site has cold nights and intense sunlight, conditions that keep acidity high and alcohol moderate. The family notes that 2023 produced elegant wines with high natural acidity and lower alcohol, with powerful minerality and texture the hallmarks of the year.

Serve lightly chilled at about 10 to 12 degrees, in a wide glass. Try it with scallops, grilled white fish or a goat's cheese tart. It has the backbone to age gracefully for years.
