Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay 1.5L MAGNUM 2020

Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay is a single-block, high-altitude Chardonnay, offered here in a 1.5L magnum.

The wine takes its name from the oval white stones and gravel that cover 27 chosen rows in Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard. Sitting at almost 1,500 metres in Gualtallary, part of the Tupungato region of the Uco Valley, these rows grow in thin, rocky soil that drains freely and limits root depth. Under that constant stress the vines give small crops of concentrated fruit. Cold nights stretch out ripening and preserve acidity, so the wine has both depth and freshness.

Magnums are made for occasions and for the cellar, where the larger volume lets the wine mature slowly. Chill to 10 to 12 degrees before serving with a whole side of salmon, lobster or roast turkey.
