Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay 2022

Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay is a single-block white from the Catena family's most famous vineyard, high in Mendoza's Uco Valley.

Four generations of Catenas have tended vines in the Andean foothills, and it was Nicolás Catena who began isolating the best lots and rows in the estate vineyards in his quest to match the world's finest wines. From that work came White Stones, sourced from 27 selected rows in Block 1 of the Adrianna Vineyard in Gualtallary. The ground here is strewn with gravel and smooth white stones, giving free drainage and keeping vigour low. Cool mountain air lengthens the season, producing a taut, mineral Chardonnay.

Best served at 10 to 12 degrees. Seared tuna, chicken in a creamy tarragon sauce or a wedge of aged Comté will all complement it, and it will hold in the cellar for years.
