Cave de Turckheim Gewurztraminer Tradition 2025

Cave de Turckheim Gewurztraminer Tradition is an aromatic, gently off-dry Alsace white made from Gewürztraminer.

The walled village of Turckheim, west of Colmar, has been home to this co-operative since the 1950s. Its members farm around Turckheim, Wintzenheim and Ingersheim, including several grand cru holdings, and the cellar is known for well-made wines at fair prices. This entry-level range uses village sites, whole-bunch pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel, with a short time on fine lees. A touch of residual sugar offsets the variety's naturally low acidity, as is classic in Alsace.

Perfumed and broad, with lychee and rose and a soft, faintly sweet finish. Try it at 8–10°C with Thai or Vietnamese food, a mild curry or washed-rind cheese.
