Céline et Vincent Dureuil Rully 1er cru Rabourcé 2015

Céline et Vincent Dureuil Rully 1er cru Rabourcé is a Côte Chalonnaise wine from one of the best-known premier cru climats of Rully.

Rully lies at the northern end of the Côte Chalonnaise, just south of the Côte de Beaune, and holds twenty-three premiers crus on clay and limestone slopes. Rabourcé is among the better regarded of them, sitting on the mid-slope above the village on marl-rich soils that give both structure and lift. Domaine Dureuil-Janthial, run by Vincent Dureuil with Céline Dureuil, is the reference estate of the appellation, farming organically and working with old vines, gentle handling and long élevage in mostly used barrels. The house style favours texture and length over immediate flesh, and the wines are known for needing a little time and repaying it.

Best given two or three years and drunk over the following decade. Serve at 10-12°C with roast chicken, veal or a soft-rind cheese.
