Chaffey Bros Lux Venit Rosé 2023

Chaffey Bros Lux Venit Rosé is a richer, more opulent Barossa rosé from old-vine Grenache and Mourvèdre.

Chaffey Bros have been making Barossa rosé for more than a decade, and in 2019 they began setting aside their best parcel of old-vine Grenache and Mourvèdre for this more serious style. The fruit comes from a vineyard in the Lyndoch foothills in the southern Barossa. The aim is a rosé with more texture and depth than the usual summer quaffer: bright cherry and berry aromas, a peaches-and-cream palate with a touch of savoury spice, and a creamy finish.

Serve it chilled, but not too cold, with grilled salmon, prawn tacos, roast chicken or a tomato and burrata salad. It has the weight to go from summer lunches right through to cooler months.
