Description

Chaffey Bros Pax Aeterna Grenache is a lively, whole-bunch Barossa Grenache from 92-year-old vines.

Old-vine Grenache is one of the Barossa's great treasures, and this release comes from vines planted more than 90 years ago. Whole bunches are included in the ferment, giving a lifted, perfumed wine full of raspberry and dried cranberry with fine, lip-smacking tannins. The style is lighter on its feet than the big Barossa reds, with bright acidity and a breezy freshness that makes it hard to put down.

A light chill works well here, around 14 to 16 degrees. Enjoy it with wood-fired pizza, grilled lamb chops, a spring picnic or tapas at your local laneway bar.
