Chaffey Bros Synonymous Shiraz 2021

Chaffey Bros Synonymous Shiraz is a classic, generous Barossa Shiraz that offers great value.

The name says it all: Barossa is synonymous with Shiraz, and this wine celebrates the plush, dark-fruited style that made the region famous. 2021 was an outstanding vintage across South Australia, with a mild season producing wines of depth and balance. Expect blood plum, summer berries, liquorice and dark chocolate over creamy, powdery tannins. Halliday Wine Companion's Dave Brookes singled it out as great value and described it as instantly endearing.

Open it at around 16 to 18 degrees for barbecued steak, beef and red wine pie or a cheeseburger. It drinks well now and has the depth to age for several more years.
