ChaLou Chenin Blanc 2025

ChaLou Chenin Blanc is a dry, textural Chenin from a small family producer in the Orange area.

Few Australian growers bother with this grape, and the family is one of a handful championing it in the cooler parts of New South Wales. It's the great white of the Loire Valley and South Africa, prized for high natural acidity and for making everything from crisp dry styles to long-lived sweet ones. Orange's high vineyards hold that acidity through a slow season, and time on lees builds texture.

Apple, quince and a waxy feel, finishing fresh. Try it at 8–10°C with pork belly, roast chicken, Thai-style salads or goat's cheese. Best enjoyed over the next few years.
