ChaLou Pinot Noir Orange 2025

ChaLou Pinot Noir Orange is a light, perfumed Pinot from the family's estate in the high country of Orange.

Altitude does the work here. The vineyards on the flanks of Mount Canobolas sit well above the surrounding plains, so nights are cold and the season runs long and gentle, which is exactly what this grape needs to show its perfume. In the winery they go easy on extraction and use French oak lightly, keeping the fruit up front so it's ready to drink on release.

Silky red cherry and strawberry, with a touch of soft spice. Pour it slightly cool (14–16°C) with duck, mushroom dishes, roast chicken or salmon. It's drinking well now and will keep for a few years.
