ChaLou Quixotic Pinot Noir Orange 2023

ChaLou Quixotic Pinot Noir Orange is the family's top Pinot Noir, made from their best parcels in the Orange high country.

Volcanic soils, cold nights and a long ripening season on the slopes of Mount Canobolas make this some of the most promising Pinot country in New South Wales. As the name hints, this is where the team chases an ideal, a step above the estate bottling. The best parcels get extra attention, with careful fermentation and longer maturation in French oak for more depth and structure.

Expect dark cherry, spice and savoury depth on a layered, fine palate. At 15–16°C it's excellent with roast duck, venison, mushroom dishes or aged hard cheeses. Good now, and it has the concentration to develop over several years.
