Description

ChaLou The Somm & The Winemaker Arneis Orange is a crisp, aromatic still white made from Arneis, a grape from Piedmont.

Arneis hails from the Roero hills in north-west Italy, where it's prized for pear, almond and floral notes. It has settled happily in cool Australian regions, and the lofty vineyards around Mount Canobolas give it the long season and fresh acidity it needs. The label nods to the partnership behind the winery, one from the restaurant floor and one from the cellar. This still version is fermented cool and bottled young without heavy oak.

Pear, almond and white flowers with a fresh, textural feel. Chill to 8–10°C and serve with antipasto, seafood pasta, grilled vegetables or vitello tonnato. Enjoy it over the next few years while it's fresh.
