Description

Chambers Rutherglen Muscat is a fortified wine from north-east Victoria, made from Muscat à Petits Grains Rouges.

Rutherglen's hot, dry autumns let the grapes raisin on the vine before they are picked and fortified with neutral spirit, and the long barrel ageing in warm sheds concentrates the wine further by evaporation. The style is unique to this corner of Victoria. Chambers Rosewood has been in the same family since William Chambers founded it in 1858, and the wines are built on a solera of great age.

Serve in small glasses at 14 degrees with chocolate, sticky date pudding or blue cheese. An opened bottle keeps for months.
