Description
Champagne Agrapart & Fils 7 Crus opens the range and takes its name from the seven villages behind the blend, all of them farmed by the estate.
The seven are Avize, from vines of 20 to 40 years, together with Cramant, Oger, Oiry, Avenay-Val-d'Or, Coligny and Vauciennes. As with everything at Agrapart, every parcel is estate-owned and estate-farmed rather than bought in. This release blends two harvests: 60 per cent from 2021 premier cru sites and 40 per cent reserve wine from 2020 grand cru sites, the reserve raised in neutral 600-litre casks acquired from François Chidaine and Didier Dagueneau. The blend runs 90 per cent Chardonnay to 10 per cent Pinot Noir. Even at this first level the wine spends three years on lees, considerably longer than most non-vintage Champagne, and it was disgorged in March 2024 with 6 g/L dosage. It is the most immediately approachable wine in the range without losing the saline length and gentle grip that mark the house.
Ready now and worth a few years in bottle. Serve with oysters, fried fish or a plate of charcuterie at around 8°C.
*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
