Description

Champagne Agrapart 7 Crus is the entry wine of the range, named for the seven villages that make it up.

Those villages are Avize, from younger vines of 20 to 40 years, along with Cramant, Oger, Oiry, Avenay-Val-d'Or, Coligny and Vauciennes. As with everything at Agrapart, the fruit comes only from vineyards the estate owns and farms itself. This bottling blends two harvests, half from 2020 premier cru sites and half from 2019 grand cru sites, with the reserve component raised in neutral 600-litre oak. The blend is 90 per cent Chardonnay and 10 per cent Pinot Noir. Even at this level the wine is aged two years on lees, longer than many houses manage further up their range, and it was disgorged with 5 grams per litre of dosage. It is the most immediately open cuvée in the Agrapart range without giving up the saline grip that runs through all of them.

Drink now or over the next five years. Serve at 8°C with charcuterie, fish and chips or a soft washed-rind cheese.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur. If you are after a specific vintage, please contact us prior to ordering.
