Champagne Agrapart & Fils Grand Cru Terroirs Blanc de Blancs NV Base 20 Disg. 2024

Champagne Agrapart & Fils Terroirs is a grand cru Blanc de Blancs drawn from four Côte des Blancs villages, with an average vine age above 50 years.

Agrapart farms in Avize and is one of the most closely watched grower estates in the Côte des Blancs. Terroirs is entirely grand cru, taking fruit from Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry, four villages that between them cover most of the chalk hierarchy of the côte. Vine age matters as much as the sites here, averaging more than 50 years. This release is based on 2020, with the 2019 reserve wine making up an unusually high 80 per cent of the blend. Fermentation is natural, half the wine matures in large-format neutral oak, and the wine then spends over 36 months on lees. Dosage is held to 5 g/L, and disgorgement was carried out by hand in March 2024.

Excellent now and will gain further with a year or more under cork. Serve at 8°C with oysters, sashimi or roast chicken.
