Champagne Bérêche et Fils Brut Réserve Vieilles Vignes Non Filtrée, in magnum, is built on 40-year-old vines and bottled without filtration.

The Bérêche family are based at Ludes in the Montagne de Reims, where brothers Raphaël and Vincent have built a reputation for detail more often associated with prestige cuvées than with a house's entry wine. This release takes 65% of its fruit from the 2020 base vintage, with the remainder from the two previous years. It divides evenly in style if not in source: 35% Pinot Noir from Ludes, Trépail and Ormes in the Montagne de Reims, 35% Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, and 30% Pinot Meunier from Mareuil-le-Port. The vines average forty years of age. Fruit is picked by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts in barrel, then the wine rests 24 to 36 months on lees before hand disgorgement and a dosage of just under 6 g/L.

Ready to drink and capable of eight to ten years in magnum; serve with oysters, roast poultry or gougères at about 8°C.
