Les Vignes de Vrigny is Egly-Ouriet's premier cru Champagne made entirely from Meunier grown in the village of Vrigny.

Egly-Ouriet is based at Ambonnay, a grand cru village on the southern flank of the Montagne de Reims, and is known above all for Pinot Noir of unusual depth. Vrigny, on the northwestern side of the Montagne, is a different proposition: a premier cru planted largely to Meunier, and the source of this single-village bottling. The house style applies here as elsewhere, built on very low yields, late picking for full ripeness, fermentation and ageing in oak, and extended time on lees before disgorgement, which is far longer than the appellation minimum. Dosage is restrained. The result is a Meunier Champagne with the vinous weight the house is known for rather than the lightness the variety is often associated with.

Ready to drink and will hold for several years; serve at about 8°C with charcuterie, roast chicken or a mushroom tart.
