Champagne Egly-Ouriet Grand Cru Brut is a Pinot Noir-led Champagne from the Grand Cru villages of the Montagne de Reims.

Egly-Ouriet is based in Ambonnay and holds vines there and in the neighbouring Grand Cru villages of Bouzy and Verzenay, on the chalk slopes of the Montagne de Reims. Francis Egly built the house's reputation on very low yields, late picking and unusually ripe fruit, with fermentation in barrel and long ageing on lees in the cellar before disgorgement. The Grand Cru Brut is the entry point to the range and is led by Pinot Noir, the variety the Montagne is known for, with a portion of Chardonnay for lift. This bottling is built on a 2015 base and was disgorged in October 2020. Dosage is modest, and the extended lees ageing gives the wine the weight, breadth and vinous character that mark the house style.

Ready to drink and will keep for a decade. Serve at 8°C with roast chicken, mushroom dishes or aged Comté.
