Champagne Laherte Frères 1er Cru Nature de Craie NV

Nature de Craie is a Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs from Champagne Laherte Frères, 100% Chardonnay grown on the chalk ("craie") soils of the Côte des Blancs and bottled with zero dosage to let the terroir speak with nothing to hide behind.

Laherte Frères is a family estate in Chavot, in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, founded in 1889 and now run by the sixth and seventh generations of the Laherte family across just over 11 hectares spanning three Champagne sub-regions. The house farms naturally and dynamically without chemical inputs, vinifies parcel by parcel, and ferments and ages roughly 80% of its wines in wood across some 350 barrels, six large foudres and a truncated vat.

Precise, saline and bone dry, it's a serious food Champagne - excellent with oysters, sashimi or a simple seafood tart; serve at around 8-10 degrees.
