Champagne Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a zero-dosage Chardonnay drawn from the family's chalkiest ground at Chavot and Épernay.

The Coteaux Sud d'Épernay is not classic Chardonnay country, but Laherte Frères have identified the parcels within it where chalk sits closest to the surface. The soils here are chalk and chalky marl with pockets of flint and schist, and the family farms them biodynamically. Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs premiers crus of Vertus and Voipreux has been added to the blend in recent years. This release is built on the 2022 harvest with 40 per cent reserve wine from the two preceding years. Primary fermentation takes place across barrique, foudre and tronconique cask, after which the wine spends just over two years on lees in bottle. Every Laherte cuvée is disgorged by hand, and this one, as the name says, receives no dosage at all. The bottling was disgorged in August 2025 after an additional seven months on cork.

Drinking well now and will reward three to five years in the cellar. Serve at 8°C with oysters, ceviche or grilled prawns.
