Champagne Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is bottled with no dosage at all and disgorged by hand.

This is Laherte Frères at its most focused: Chardonnay alone, from the family's chalkiest ground in Chavot and Épernay, joined more recently by fruit from the Côte des Blancs premiers crus of Vertus and Voipreux. The vineyards are biodynamically farmed and lie on chalk and chalky clay marl, with pockets of flint and schist through the slopes. It is the chalk that drives the saline, citric line the wine is known for, while the clay balances it with fruit weight and texture. Primary fermentation takes place in barrique, foudre and tronconique cask, and the wine is then aged a little over two years in bottle on its lees. Forty per cent of the blend is reserve wine from the two preceding harvests. As the name indicates, no dosage is added, and every bottle is disgorged by hand.

Drinking well on release and worth keeping several years. Serve at around 8°C with oysters, raw kingfish or a young Comté.
