Champagne Laherte Frères Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature is an even split of Pinot Noir and Meunier, bottled without any dosage.

This cuvée sits in the range beside the house's Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature and takes the opposite approach to grape selection. Half is Pinot Noir from Le Breuil in the Marne Valley and half is Pinot Meunier from Chavot and Moussy in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, the villages where the Laherte family has farmed for generations. The current release blends the 2022 and 2021 harvests in equal measure. The vins clairs ferment on their own yeasts and are raised in barrel and foudre. The wine completes malolactic fermentation, and Aurélien Laherte bottles it without dosage in order, as he puts it, to respect fruit intensity and mineral freshness. It was disgorged in the first half of 2024. The result draws on the flesh of Meunier, the vinosity of Pinot Noir and the salinity of the chalk beneath both.

Drinking well now and holding four to six years. Serve at 8°C with roast chicken, charcuterie or a mushroom tart.
