Champagne Laherte Frères Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature is an equal split of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier bottled with no dosage at all.

Laherte Frères farms at Chavot in the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay and has built much of its range around the black grapes of the Marne rather than Côte des Blancs Chardonnay. This cuvée sits alongside the house’s Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature and is a half-and-half blend: Pinot Noir from Le Breuil in the Vallée de la Marne, and Pinot Meunier from Chavot and Moussy in the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay. The vins clairs ferment on indigenous yeasts and are raised in barrel and foudre. The wine completes malolactic fermentation and is bottled without dosage, a decision Aurélien Laherte explains as respecting fruit intensity and mineral freshness. This release is based on the 2023 harvest and was disgorged in March 2025.

Drinking well now and worth three to five years in the cellar. Serve at about 8°C with roast chicken, mushroom risotto or a plate of jamón.
