Les Empreintes is Laherte Frères' vintage cuvée, an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from two old-vine parcels at Chavot.

Laherte Frères is a grower house based at Chavot in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, where Aurélien Laherte has spent two decades refining a range built around single sites and old plantings. Les Empreintes, meaning imprints, is made only in years the family considers worth declaring, and it draws on the Chardonnay of Les Chemins d'Épernay and the Pinot Noir of Les Beaudiers, both on the chalk and clay of the village. The two varieties are picked and pressed separately, then brought together after fermentation. The wine is fermented and matured in oak in the house style, kept on lees in bottle for an extended period, and finished with a very low dosage.

Ready to drink and capable of further development in bottle; serve at about 8°C with oysters, roast poultry or a hard alpine cheese.
