Les Longues Voyes is Laherte Frères' single-parcel Blanc de Noirs, made entirely from Pinot Noir on the limestone subsoils of the Montagne de Reims.

Laherte Frères has been at Chavot since 1889 and is run by Aurélien Laherte, the fourth generation, who took charge in 2005. The estate divides roughly ten hectares into more than seventy parcels spread across the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, farmed biodynamically or in conversion, and vinifies each parcel separately rather than blending at the press. Les Longues Voyes is a premier cru plot planted to Pinot Noir, a variety that is the exception rather than the rule in most of the estate's holdings, which is much of the reason it is bottled alone. Like the other single-vineyard cuvées it ferments with indigenous yeasts in used Burgundy barrels, is not put through malolactic, and spends around eighteen months on lees in wood before going into bottle without fining or filtration. Dosage is a few grams and disgorgement, in February 2019, is by hand.

Drinking now and worth a few more years in the cellar; serve at about 8°C with roast poultry, mushroom risotto or a mature cheese.
