Description

Champagne Laherte Frères Meslier et Pinot is an even split of Petit Meslier and Pinot Noir, made in tiny quantity.

Petit Meslier is one of Champagne's near-forgotten heirloom grapes, and Aurélien Laherte holds a full hectare of it, a great deal by the region's standards. The Pinot Noir is given a few hours on skins, the wine ferments in two barrels and rests around thirty months on lees before being disgorged by hand with no dosage. The fruit comes from two plots at Chavot, where the family has farmed since 1889.

Serve at 10 degrees with roast poultry, mushroom dishes, soft cheese or a plate of charcuterie.
