Rosé de Meunier is Laherte Frères' rosé Champagne made entirely from Pinot Meunier grown in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay.

Laherte Frères farm at Chavot, just south of Épernay, where Meunier is the dominant variety and chalk sits close to the surface. Aurélien Laherte, the seventh generation on the estate, has built its reputation on parcel-by-parcel work and on treating Meunier as a variety in its own right rather than as a blending component. This cuvée is made in the traditional Champagne manner for rosé, with a portion of still red wine giving colour and fruit weight to the base, and it is drawn from the 2023 harvest with disgorgement in October 2025. The style is open and juicy: the ripeness Meunier delivers early is offset by mouth-watering acidity and by the salty chalk expression that marks the best wines of this corner of the Marne. It is a rosé built on fruit and chalk rather than on colour.

Drink now and over the next three or four years. Serve at 8°C with charcuterie, salmon or strawberries.
