Champagne Laherte Frères Ultradition is the house's flagship blend, led by Pinot Meunier from the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay.

Ultradition is the wine Laherte Frères makes in the greatest quantity and the one that best sets out its position: Pinot Meunier taken seriously rather than treated as a filler. Aurélien Laherte draws it from parcels around Chavot and the wider Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir making up the balance. Fermentation is by parcel, largely in used oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, and a substantial proportion of reserve wine from a perpetual blend is folded in, which is why the cuvée keeps its character across seasons. Ageing on lees in bottle runs well beyond the appellation minimum, dosage is low, and both the base year and the disgorgement date are printed on the label.

An all-purpose Champagne, good as an aperitif or at the table. Serve at around 8°C with fried food, roast chicken or a mushroom tart.
