Château Carbonneau Séquoia Rouge 2022

Château Carbonneau Séquoia is a red Bordeaux from Sainte-Foy, named after a tree in the estate's grounds.

Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux sits at the eastern edge of the region on limestone and clay, where Merlot ripens readily and Cabernet Sauvignon fills in the structure, as it does across the Right Bank. The giant sequoia on the property was planted in the nineteenth century, when such trees were a fashion among French landowners.

Serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb, beef or a mushroom dish. It develops over a decade.
