Château Clarke Listrac-Médoc 2021

Château Clarke Listrac-Médoc is a polished Left Bank Bordeaux from a historic Rothschild-owned estate.

Listrac-Médoc is an inland appellation on the Médoc peninsula, set back from the estuary on gravel and clay-limestone soils that favour a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot-based blend with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Vines have grown on the site since the twelfth century, when it was planted by Cistercian monks, but the modern estate dates from 1973, when Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired the neglected property and undertook a major replanting that shaped the vineyard as it exists today.

This is a refined, structured Bordeaux red, supple enough for everyday drinking yet serious enough for roast lamb, beef dishes or mature cheeses.
