Château de La Chaize Beaujolais Blanc 2024

Château de La Chaize Beaujolais Blanc is a fresh, generous Chardonnay from the clay-limestone soils of southern Beaujolais.

La Chaize is one of Beaujolais' grandest historic estates, with a château and long vaulted cellar dating back to the late 17th century, set among the vineyards of Brouilly. Since changing hands in 2017 the estate has put a strong focus on sustainable and organic farming. Most Beaujolais is red Gamay, but Chardonnay does very well on the clay-limestone slopes in the south of the region, close to the Mâconnais. The result is a white with lemon, pear and white flower aromas, a lively attack and a broad, generous finish.

Chill well and pour with goat's cheese, roast chicken, quiche or pan-fried trout. It is ideal for drinking over the next two to three years.
