Description
Château des Tourettes Tinus Roussanne Marsanne pairs the two classic white grapes of the Rhône on high Luberon limestone.
Roussanne brings perfume and a little weight, Marsanne the body and the texture, and the two have been grown together in the south of France for a very long time. Jean-Marie Guffens, of Guffens-Heynen and Maison Verget in Burgundy, bought this fifteen-hectare estate near Apt in 1997; the vines sit around 420 metres up, and the wines are bottled as Vin de France rather than Luberon. Tinus is the top range, named after his grandfather.
Serve at 11 degrees with roast pork, grilled chicken, creamy pasta or a washed-rind cheese.
