Château-Fuissé Bourgogne Blanc 2023

Château-Fuissé Bourgogne Blanc is a white Burgundy from the Vincent family, growers behind one of the best known estates of the Mâconnais.

Château-Fuissé takes its name from the village of Fuissé, at the foot of the limestone escarpments of Solutré and Vergisson in the far south of Burgundy. The family has run the property for generations and is closely associated with the rise of Pouilly-Fuissé as a serious white wine appellation. This is Chardonnay from holdings that fall outside the village appellations and so carry the regional Bourgogne Blanc name, farmed and made in the same cellar as the senior wines. The house approach favours a measured use of oak and time on the lees, so the wine keeps its freshness while gaining a little breadth.

Serve chilled at around 11 degrees with roast chicken, fish or soft cheeses; it is ready on release and best drunk within a few years.
