Château Lafite Rothschild Armagnac "Vieille Réserve" de Lafite is an aged Armagnac released under the name of one of Bordeaux's most famous First Growths.

Armagnac is France's oldest grape brandy, distilled in Gascony in the south-west of the country and aged in oak casks. This Vieille Réserve is a blend of several carefully selected eaux-de-vie, made to be enjoyed after dinner, and it comes in a gift box, which makes it a fine present for a Bordeaux collector or brandy lover.

Pour at room temperature into a tulip-shaped glass and give it a few minutes to breathe. It's lovely neat with a square of dark chocolate, a few walnuts or a good cigar.
