Description

Château Les Charmes-Godard Blanc is a white Bordeaux blend from the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, made with an unusually high proportion of Sémillon alongside Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris.

Francs Côtes de Bordeaux is one of the region's smaller, easterly satellite appellations, centred on the hills around Francs and Saint-Cibard, with clay-limestone soils suited to both red and white varieties. Les Charmes-Godard is part of the portfolio built by the Thienpont family, who also farm Château Puygueraud nearby, and the estate has earned a reputation as a specialist in white winemaking within a largely red-focused corner of Bordeaux.

A textural, food-friendly white Bordeaux, well suited to seafood and richer poultry dishes.
