- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cinnamon stick

- Remove the pears with a slotted spoon and set aside to cool slightly.
- Increase the heat and reduce the poaching liquid until it thickens into a syrupy consistency, about 5–7 minutes. Discard the spices.
- Drizzle the reduced sauce over the poached pears and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
