Description

Chatto Killara Farm Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard in Tasmania's Tamar Valley.

The Tamar runs inland from Launceston and is warmer and more sheltered than Pipers River on the coast, which gives Pinot Noir a little more flesh while the island's cool nights hold the acidity. Jim Chatto bottles the Killara Farm site separately as part of his Tasmanian range. The wine is fermented with whole bunches and native yeast and matured in French oak.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, pork belly or a mushroom dish. It develops over eight years.
