Description

Chatto Lutruwita Pinot Noir takes its name from the palawa kani name for Tasmania.

The wine draws on several of the island's districts, whose cool maritime climate makes Tasmania the most reliable Pinot Noir country in Australia. Jim Chatto came to the island after a long career making wine in the Hunter Valley and now works only with this variety. Whole bunches and native yeast go into the ferment, with maturation in French oak, mostly seasoned.

Serve at 15 degrees with duck, game birds or roast vegetables. Drink over the next eight years.
