Description

Chatto Savigny-Lès-Beaune Les Lavières is a Burgundian Pinot Noir made under the Tasmanian label's French project.

Savigny-lès-Beaune lies north-west of Beaune in the Côte de Beaune, and Les Lavières sits on the Pernand side of the valley where the soils are stony and light, giving perfumed, medium-bodied reds. Working a Burgundy parcel alongside the Tasmanian range gives a direct comparison between the two homes of Pinot Noir. The wine is fermented with whole bunches and native yeast and aged in French oak.

Serve at 15 degrees with roast chicken, duck or a mushroom dish. It will develop over ten years.
