Christian Moreau Petit Chablis 2025

Christian Moreau Petit Chablis is a crisp, unoaked Chardonnay from the high ground above the Chablis slopes.

The Moreau family has grown and sold wine in Chablis since the early nineteenth century, and the estate's own vineyards are now worked under this label by Fabien Moreau. Petit Chablis comes off the younger limestone on the plateau rather than the marl of the valley, and the wines from up there are lighter and more direct. Fruit is picked by hand, fermented in stainless steel and bottled without oak, under a Diam closure.

Dry and brisk, with the chalky bite the appellation is known for. Serve it cold, 8 to 10 degrees, with oysters, prawns, goat's cheese or whatever comes off the grill.
