Cidre Séhédic Brut NV

Cidre Séhédic Brut is a dry farmhouse cider from Brittany, made from traditional Breton cider apples.

Morbihan, in southern Brittany, is home to the cidrerie. Along with Normandy it is one of France's two great cider regions, and the orchards grow bitter and bittersweet varieties for tannin and depth. Pressing is followed by a slow ferment on wild yeasts at cool cellar temperatures over several months. It's fermented well out to taste dry, and keeps a light natural sparkle, modest alcohol and a hazy amber colour.

Dry, gently sparkling and lightly tannic, with baked apple and an earthy farmhouse edge. Serve at 8–10°C with galettes and crêpes, roast pork or washed-rind cheese.
