Description

Clarence House Pinot Noir is a cool-climate Tasmanian Pinot Noir from the Coal River Valley.

Clarence House is a Tasmanian producer in the Coal River Valley district east of Hobart, a cool maritime area of low rainfall and high sunshine hours that has become one of the island's key wine regions. Pinot Noir is Tasmania's most planted grape and the variety that has made the island's name, thanks to a cool maritime climate that lets the grapes ripen slowly while keeping fresh acidity and fine tannins. This estate Pinot Noir is made in an approachable, fruit-focused style, with oak used to add structure rather than flavour, and it is sealed under screwcap to keep it fresh.

Bright and supple, it suits salmon, duck and charcuterie; serve slightly cool at around 15 degrees.
