Clarence House Pinot Noir Block 1 2023

Clarence House Pinot Noir Block 1 is a single-block Tasmanian Pinot Noir from the Coal River Valley.

Clarence House is a Tasmanian producer in the Coal River Valley district east of Hobart, a cool maritime area of low rainfall and high sunshine hours that has become one of the island's key wine regions. Pinot Noir is Tasmania's signature grape, ripening slowly in the cool maritime climate to give wines of fresh acidity and fine tannins. Block 1 is bottled separately from a single parcel of the vineyard, allowing the character of that particular site to come through rather than a blend across the estate. It is matured in French oak and sealed under screwcap.

Focused and site-driven, it suits duck, quail and wild mushrooms; serve at around 16 degrees.
