Description

Clark Estate Classic Riesling is a white from Marlborough, New Zealand, released with some bottle age.

Clark Estate was founded in 1998 by Peter and Jane Clark in the Upper Awatere Valley, the southernmost, coolest and windiest part of Marlborough, at the north eastern tip of New Zealand's South Island. It remains family-owned, with their son Simon as winemaker. The long, cool growing season suits Riesling, which keeps its acidity here and develops honeyed, toasty notes with time in bottle.

It suits spiced Asian dishes, pork, smoked fish and soft cheeses; serve well chilled.
