Description

Clark Estate Upper Awatere Sauvignon Blanc is a white from the Awatere Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand.

Clark Estate was founded in 1998 by Peter and Jane Clark in the Upper Awatere Valley, the southernmost, coolest and windiest part of Marlborough, at the north eastern tip of New Zealand's South Island. It remains family-owned, with their son Simon as winemaker. Sauvignon Blanc grown in the Awatere tends to be leaner and more herbaceous than that of the warmer Wairau Valley, with a marked mineral edge.

It suits oysters, goat's cheese, grilled fish, asparagus and salads; serve well chilled.
