Clos Mogador Priorat Tinto is the flagship wine of one of Priorat's founding modern estates.

René Barbier established Clos Mogador in 1979, terracing steep, slate-and-quartz llicorella slopes above Gratallops at a time when Priorat's ancient vineyards had been largely abandoned. Working alongside fellow pioneers who revived the region, Barbier helped set the template for Priorat's modern renaissance, and the estate remains one of its most respected names. Now run by his sons René Jr and Christian, the property farms biodynamically across old-vine parcels averaging over eighty years of age, with Grenache at the heart of the blend alongside Syrah, Carignan and other traditional varieties.
