Cognac Tesseron Carafe Legende 700ml

Carafe Legende is an XO Cognac from Tesseron built on Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie aged for more than twenty-five years.

The Tesseron carafe range is graded by the age of its components rather than by cru alone. Légende was created from Grande Champagne reserve wines held by the family, with around fifty eaux-de-vie in the blend, among them a number distilled from Folle Blanche, a variety once dominant in the region and now rare. Maturation took place across cellars of differing humidity, a standard tool in Cognac for balancing evaporation against concentration: damp cellars soften a spirit over time, dry cellars build its intensity. The house counts the ageing as one generation, meaning twenty-five years and more, which puts it well beyond the ten-year minimum required for the XO designation, and it carries more woody spice and deeper, more mature fruit than the younger Passion.

Serve neat at room temperature after a meal, with coffee, dark chocolate or a cigar.
