Description

Collector Cherry Orchard Shiraz is a savoury, layered cool-climate Shiraz from the Canberra District.

Collector Wines was founded by winemaker Alex McKay, whose Canberra District reds have become some of the most respected in the region. The vineyards around Murrumbateman sit at elevation, with cold nights and a long growing season that produce Shiraz with spice, perfume and fine structure. Cherry Orchard shows dark cherry, plum and complex spice on a generous, layered and savoury palate.

Serve at around 16 to 18 degrees with slow-cooked lamb, a mushroom and beef stew or a cheese board. It drinks well now and has the balance to age for many years.
